the first date
Upon receipt of your email, I will send you a little Q&A to gauge a better understanding of your wedding stationery wishes and to assess if our ideas are best suited. Expect a certain response in 1-3 business days. Once I’ve established a more formed idea from your answers, I will then contact you regarding an estimation of timeline, project fee and when we should be in contact next.
Depending on work load, please anticipate 2-3 weeks before I start the initial design process for your stationery. Open and honest communication regarding timelines are vital, and go both ways. If you have a limited timeline, please inform me before the start of the creative process and I’ll do my upmost to fit you in. Equally, if I feel I cannot fulfil a completed design to my standards within the deadline I will state this prior to payment of your deposit.
Once the initial hello’s and Q&A are done - and we are both happy to proceed, I will send over a contract of agreement and deposit invoice, with an included timeline of dates to aim for and a further Q&A regarding your inspiration for your wedding stationery. I require a 50% deposit of the total project fee before I can start your bespoke design. Upon agreement, please send me a signed contract and deposit payment. Your inspiration Q&A helps me to align your ideas in structured way and I invite you to include inspiration imagery too (Pinterest board, photos, colour swatches, your own little sketches & diagrams, etc).
Now I feel I have got to know you both, and have a clear creative direction to follow I will begin the design process. I will send you three concepts for your main wedding stationery design. Once we have decided on which concept to take further, I will develop it in full and you will have one round of revision to change any details. Please note that this first revision is free, but any further amendments after completion will be charged at £20 an hour. The hand crafted nature of my work is based almost entirely on hand painted illustration rather than digital format and therefore any large changes could require starting over. Thankfully, this is an unlikely situation as by this stage I will have an informed idea of what you’re expecting.
Once the main wedding stationery design is finalised, I will turn to designing the rest of your desired suite - Save The Dates, RSVP, Details Cards, Order of Service', etc. Again you will be given creative updates during this process and an option to feedback for one revision. Further revisions thereafter will be charged as above.
the big day
With your wedding stationery designs finalised, I will require you to pay the remaining amount for your stationery along with the printing costs. Once received, your designs will be sent to press and delivered to your home.
I advise we start working on your Wedding stationery 6 months in advance of your wedding date. Designing your wedding stationery is a very considered process, and I do not wish to rush this if unnecessary. A longer time frame will ensure ample time for designing, printing and sending your stationery out to you for you to send on thereafter.
